In Their Own Words
Somchai Pongpaisit
Retired civil servant, Bangkok
"After receiving a letter about a change to my GPF payments, I had no idea where to start. The consultation at Niti Siam gave me a clear picture of what had happened and why. The written summary they provided afterwards was something I could actually refer to — which was important when I had to explain the situation to family members."

Nattakarn Kijkumart
Former teacher, Chiang Mai
"I needed help filing paperwork connected to my pension after a dispute with my former employer. The documentation service was thorough — everything was prepared correctly and explained before it was submitted. The process took about three weeks, which was longer than I had hoped, but the team kept me informed throughout."

"I came to Niti Siam after my occupational pension claim was rejected. They handled the full representation process and kept me informed at every stage. Before each phase, they gave me a clear statement of what the work would cost. That was important to me — I needed to know what I was committing to."

Aranya Thongsuk
Retired nurse, Nonthaburi
"The consultation was exactly what I needed. I had received a change notice from the Social Security Fund and did not understand what it meant for my future pension. After one meeting, I left with a clear written summary and a sense of what my realistic options were. I did not need to proceed further, and there was no pressure to do so."

Malee Laosophon
Widow, Samut Prakan
"My late husband's pension was the subject of a protracted dispute. Niti Siam represented my interests through the full appeals process. The matter took several months, which was difficult, but I was never left without information about where things stood. The outcome was satisfactory, and the cost at each stage was exactly what had been confirmed in advance."

How Matters Developed
These three examples — with identifying details removed — illustrate different ways a pension matter can unfold when handled with steady, informed attention.
Unexplained reduction in GPF payment
A retired civil servant received a letter informing him that his monthly GPF disbursement had been reduced by approximately 18%. The letter cited a "recalculation of entitlement" but provided no further detail. He had no previous correspondence to suggest the change was forthcoming.
Consultation, then documentation request
Following the initial consultation, it was established that a prior change in employment classification had been applied retrospectively in error. A formal request for reconsideration was prepared and filed, supported by documentation of the original employment terms.
Payments restored; arrears recovered
The GPF recalculation was reversed. Payments were restored at the original level, and a partial recovery of arrears was agreed. The total process took approximately six weeks from the date of the first consultation.
Duration: 6 weeks
"I had no idea that a classification error from years earlier could affect my pension. Once I understood what had happened, everything moved quite quickly."
Pension claim rejected after employer insolvency
A former factory worker's occupational pension claim was rejected following her employer's insolvency. The fund administrator claimed insufficient contribution records. She had payslips covering most of her employment but was missing documentation from an earlier period.
Documentary reconstruction and formal appeal
The missing period was addressed through alternative records — tax documents, employment references, and social security contribution records. A formal appeal was prepared, presenting the reconstructed contribution history and the legal basis for the claim.
Claim accepted on appeal
The appeal was upheld. The full period of employment was recognised for pension purposes, and the claim was accepted. Payments commenced approximately eleven weeks after the appeal was filed.
Duration: 11 weeks
"I thought the missing records meant the claim was lost. Niti Siam found a way through that I would never have thought of."
Survivor benefit dispute following bereavement
A widow sought the survivor benefit attached to her late husband's government pension. The relevant authority declined the application, citing a question about the qualifying status of the marriage under the applicable fund rules.
Formal representation through two-stage appeal
The qualifying conditions were reviewed against the fund's governing documentation and Thai family law. A formal representation was made, followed by a second stage when the initial response was unsatisfactory. Full documentation was prepared and presented at each stage.
Benefit awarded at second stage
The survivor benefit was awarded following the second-stage representation. The matter required four months of sustained engagement. The cost at each phase was confirmed in writing before that phase began.
Duration: 4 months
"It took longer than I had hoped, but I was never left not knowing what was happening. That made a difficult time somewhat easier to manage."

Your Situation Is Worth a Conversation
A first consultation involves no commitment beyond the meeting itself. Many clients find it sufficient on its own.
